G Chord Guitar

G chord guitar diagrams and information. In guitar chord notation, a single capital letter (e.g. 'G') denotes a G major chord. There are many ways of playing G guitar chords, and the most commonly-used chord shapes are shown below. G major chords are made up of 3 notes: G, B & D, and these notes can be played in any order (though usually with a G as the lowest note) and repeated in a different octave (which is why there is nearly always more than one way to play any chord on the guitar).
